Express Employment Professionals is now hiring for a Forklift Operator / Lumber Associate to support one of our clients in Forest Grove, OR. Apply today to take part in supporting a company that is a leading importer and distributor of high-end tropical hardwood decking, siding, and truck trailer flooring. We are seeking a Warehouse Worker / Forklift Operator with experience in lumber handling , container loading and unloading , and lumber packaging . Responsibilities include breaking down units of lumber, re-packaging and crating, and loading flatbed trailers, vans, and containers. The goal is to help increase efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction during a 4-6 month contract assignment.
Job Description :
- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
- Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store)
- Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits
- Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
- Report any discrepancies and damaged material
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
- Operate and maintain warehouse equipment (forklifts) and power tools
- Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations
- Open to cross training on other functions
- Other duties as assigned
