Inside Sales Associate

Job Description

Tennessee Machine Tool (TMT) is a WBENC certified industrial distribution company providing cutting tools, abrasives, measuring equipment, and machinery by providing technical expertise to our customers by applying technical solutions to promote continuous improvements.

TMT is seeking an experienced sales professional that will be responsible for processing sales orders, placing purchasing orders, and assisting the accounting department with client relations, project management, and procurement.

The successful candidate will have the responsibility of all inside sales associates to learn TMT product lines and will be able to specify the correct tooling for end user applications.

Qualifications

INSIDE SALES ASSOCIATE :

• Screen sales calls and route calls to appropriate team members.
• Process quotes, sales orders, invoices, and purchase orders.
• Obtain quotes from vendors.
• Provide quotes from vendors to customers.
• Initiate return requests and provide documentation to appropriate staff for processing.
• Work with vendors and customers to resolve returns, credits, and pricing discrepancies.
• Build relationships with customers.
• Assist with daily open order transactions.
• Build and manage a pipeline of clients

QUALIFICATIONS : Engineering / Manufacturing / Industrial Distribution background is helpful, but not required.

• Experience with QuickBooks inventory software or similar programs is a plus
• Ability to adapt prioritization timelines with good time management skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive, results oriented professional with an ability to work with minimum direction.
• Professional, positive demeanor and appearance.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Must be detail oriented and have strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Problem solver who sees process improvement as an opportunity to drive growth and efficiency.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suit; Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Use of basic office equipment, multi-line phone.
