Position Summary
Shift : Weekend Dispatcher 12 Hour Shifts Saturday and Sunday, plus two 8 hour shifts during the week
This position is responsible for executing a daily plan for movement of all freight within an assigned area.
Essential Functions
- Assess customer needs and timing of deliveries
- Manage daily delivery schedule for drivers, driver utilization
- Plan deliveries and load plan drivers
- Receive orders from account managers or directly from accounts / customers
- Provide frontline customer service for existing accounts
- Answer all incoming phone calls promptly and courteously
- Monitor e-mail for incoming changes, updates, and communication between team members and our customers
- Monitor web portals and customer portals
- Monitor and update Teams spreadsheets
- Create and update loads in dispatch system, to include updating load board on a regular basis
- Divide dispatch responsibilities with other team members
- Backfill loads as needed, to include assisting other terminals with open loads when you have driver availability
- Assist with driver breakdowns, absence tracking, misc admin duties

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of dispatching experience
- Excellent conflict resolution and skills
- Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
