Job Description

Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and timelines.

Collaborate with project managers and architects to assess project requirements and specifications.

Review and analyze blueprints, drawings, and technical documents to determine project scope.

Source and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.

Maintain and update cost databases to ensure accurate and current pricing information.

Provide detailed reports and presentations on cost estimates and project budgets to stakeholders.

Monitor project progress and adjust estimates as needed to reflect changes in scope or requirements.

Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards throughout the estimation process.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Estimator should have :

• Experience in cost estimation and project planning within the Construction department.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards, materials, and construction methods.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical documents.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and negotiation abilities to interact with suppliers and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in relevant software tools used for estimating and project management.
