Overview
Network Administrator to provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT networks. This position will provide support for IT networks including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all the network architecture and devices. ACTIVE TS / SCI SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems
- Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
- Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remain involved in the resolution process
- Isolate and resolve hardware and software problems involving applications, operating systems, hardware, and the communications infrastructure
- Troubleshoot, maintain integrity and configure network components; implement operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance
- Integrate new technologies into new and existing systems, including transition and migration of corporate systems
- Support hardware infrastructure site surveys, planning, and design
- Provide transition planning and support services that accelerate delivery timelines, reduce operational risk and ensure service continuity during transition
- Provide transition planning and support for migration of services between environments (e.g., migration to Cloud environments) and migration of users to new service offerings
- Provide guidance to lower level technicians and specialists
- Work independently and as part of integrated teams
- Apply advanced concepts and processes to daily activities
- Assist more senior technicians, specialists, and managers; perform all tasks of lower level technicians or specialists
- Provide Operations & Sustainment of LAN / WAN services on an expanded 24x7 on-site and on-call basis with two-hour response time during non-core hours
- Manhole maintenance and repairs of outside plant cabling on a standard 8x5 service level

Bachelor's Degree in a Technical Field4+ years' experience working as a Network AdministratorDoD 8140.01 and 8570.01-M, IAT II requiredPlans, builds, and installs cable patch panels and cable infrastructuresInstalls and terminates all types of standard IT cable and fiberManage IT network infrastructure and related processesMakes recommendations on hardware, cabling, and equipment requirementsProvides installation management including BOMs, estimating timelines, team requirements, and documenting statusProvides equipment rack installation and equipment installations in data centers, equipment rooms, and user workspacesThese Qualifications Would be Nice to Have
Experience with 802.11 wireless technologies (802.11ac / 802.11ax)Experience with Cisco / Meraki / Juniper / Aruba wireless and management platformsKnowledge of WLAN design and benchmarking softwareAdditional Information
