WHAT WILL YOU DO AS A RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGIST II?
Working tech in the area of expertise while maintaining direct supervision of applicable departments as it relates to but not limited to patient flow, staff scheduling, staff assignment, regulatory compliance, and student oversight. Acts as liaison between clinical areas of the hospital and departments of oversight with Radiology Leadership to create an atmosphere of trust for staff and welcoming for patients and families in providing the highest level of care possible in an ever-changing healthcare environment. Help to implement Radiation Safety initiatives for Ellis Medicine.
Oversees the daily operations / functions of specific areas / modalitiesOversight of orientation and continuing education for technical staffAssists the Departmental Leadership team in HR related processes.Assists in maintaining modality regulatory requirements including (DOH, Joint Commission), and certifications (ACR)Ensures patient, staff, and environmental safety specific to area / modalityAssists in patient scheduling and patient throughput.Assists Department Leadership in recording data related to equipment maintenance, repairs and upgradesAttends departmental and organizational meetings and trainings as necessaryOversees students and coordinates clinical training with cooperating institutionsOther Duties as requiredWHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS TO BE A RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGIST?
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT(S) :
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Education programCurrent NYS license in Radiologic Technology is required.ARRT Certification requiredMinimum of two years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist or proven examples of leadership abilitiesExcellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skillsAbility to work in and promote a team environmentGuiding Behaviors

Should be able to push / pull, lift / move 35 lb., be able to perform moderately difficult manual manipulations such as using a keyboard, writing, and filing for extended periods of time, must be able to perform tasks which require hand-eye coordination such as data entry, typing and using photo copiers. Mobility requirements may include the ability to be stationary at a workstation for a prolonged period of time in addition to being able to squat or be mobile for a reasonable length of time and distance. Salary Range : $33.71-$50.56 / hour Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
