Your Role and Impact
Under general supervision, the Product Repair Technician tests, analyzes and applies technical skills in adjusting and repairing company products to meet established performance specifications.
It is the Technician’s objective to maximize repair output while maintaining ViewSonic’s standard of quality and performance.
Maintains equipment used in measuring and repairing company products.
Day to Day Responsibilities
- Observes and analyzes video characteristics of defective products returned for repair to locate source of malfunction
- Tests monitors, interprets results and performs necessary troubleshooting techniques to mechanical, electrical units and / or controls to diagnose defects or malfunctions
- Based on test results, makes electronic adjustments
- Repairs or replaces defective parts and makes necessary adjustments to equipment or machines using hand tools
- Updates product firmware as required
- Tests monitor to assure the integrity of repairs
- Measures the conformance of product to established vendor and company specifications
- Notes record of product performance
- Maintains laboratory equipment and a clean working environment
- Unpack products for testing, clean and re-pack products for shipping; double-boxing of product as required for shipping
- Performs related duties, on an incidental basis, as assigned
- May be requested to perform onsite repairs / service
Your Profile
- High School Diploma
- Minimum years in troubleshooting experience in repair depot environment
- Technical certifications related to position, such as CompTIA A+ is a plus
- Proficient in troubleshooting various electronic products, such as computer displays, projectors and other similar device
- Proficient knowledge on technical terminology and specification on display products
- Must be computer literate, able to read and understand engineering specifications
- Good verbal and written communication skills

- Environment : On-Site
- Physical Effort : Requires physical activity every day, lifting up to lbs without assistance, and -lbs with help
