Cheeseman Transport is hiring CDL A dedicated local dry van drivers in Taylor, MI. Drivers will be hauling forklifts, tow motors and their parts in 53ft dry van trailers. Compensation

Average weekly pay : $1,200
Pay based on miles and stops

Paid practical miles, paid for all miles loaded or empty

Stop pay : $15- $33per stop

5-10 stops per day

Securing pay : $1 per 1000 pounds secured

Average hours weekly : 55

Bonuses :

Sign-on bonus : $1,500

Referral bonus : $5,000

Quarterly safety bonus

Paid via direct deposit weekly

Home Time, Route, & Schedule

Home Time : Home daily

Schedule : Monday - Friday

Shift : Starting at 6pm

Route : Dedicated route from Romulus, MI to the terminal in Fort Recovery, OH and back

Additional stops will be added when arriving to the terminal before heading back

Level of Touch : No loading or unloading, must secure freight

Equipment

Newer model Kenworth, Peterbilt, and Freightliner trucks

Automatic transmission

Governed speed : 68mph

ELD equipped using Samsara

Outward facing camera

Qualifications

Must be at least 21 years of age

Must have CDL A license

Must have a minimum of 6 months verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience

Must have hazmat & tanker endorsements or be willing to obtain within 60 days of employment

No felony in the past 7 years

No alcohol related offense in the past 5 years

Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations

Must be able to pass a required pre-employment drug screen
