Export Control Analyst II

At UCF, research isn't confined to the labit's shaping industries, strengthening communities and fueling the economic growth of Central Florida. The UCF Office of Research is comprised of several units and departments, including the Office of International Collaboration and Export Control (OICEC). OICEC assists UCF researchers with meeting export control compliance requirements and mitigating risks related to inappropriate foreign influence.

The Office of International Collaboration and Export Control is seeking an Export Control Analyst II to assist with the day-to-day team operations of the office, including institutional compliance with laws and regulations related to export control, foreign engagements, and technology transfer. The Export Control Analyst II will serve as a subject matter expert for the university community on export control and international trade laws and regulations in accordance with UCF Policy 4-209. This position involves intermediate knowledge of U.S. export control laws.

Responsibilities include :

• Review research project proposals, shipments, and travel to identify any export control restrictions that may or may not apply.
• Review and assist in the negotiation of University agreements from an export control perspective.
• Under the supervision of the Export Control Manager, determine the export control classification of technology and assist in maintaining and inputting acquired record keeping information into UCF export control databases.
• Draft and implement export compliance protocols on sponsored program and non-sponsored program activities.
• Perform regulatory research on issues related to export controls and issue regulatory and compliance guidance on the day-to-day operation and implementation of the University's export control compliance program.
• Maintain, administer and input acquired recordkeeping data into UCF export control databases.
• Perform miscellaneous job duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).

Preferred qualifications include :

Position requires a valid Class E drivers license. This position may involve driving to various locations on and off campus to conduct University business.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $64,518 - $80,648. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.
