Civil Engineer – Bridge/Structural

Multi-statedesign firm is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer Bridge / Structural for their team in Des Moines, Iowa!

Responsibilities :

• Collaborate on roadway, traffic, geotechnical, andhydraulic engineers on a variety of projects
• Serve as project manager / lead technical engineer on smallto medium-sized bridge projects
• Prepare planning / design documents
• Perform design calculations
• Provide quality control reviews for work completed
• Manage project scope, budget, and schedule of projects tomeet deadlines and expectations
• Mentor / train staff
• Assist with business development
• Travel to job site as needed

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with emphasis on structuralengineering
• Master’s degree a plus
• 6+ years of experience
• PE License
• Ability to become licensed in other US States (through LEEDSor similar)
• Proficient with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design
• Experience designing prestressed concrete and steel girderbridges
• Experience with bridge analysis and design programs (LARSA,LEAP Bridge Enterprise, Lpile, SPColumn, MDX).
• Experience with NDOT or other StateDOT Bridge Projects
