The cafe will transistion to a full service resaurant in the evening serving pizza, pasta, small plates, and natural wine and beer.
The server maintains detailed table service from start to finish, creating a memorable experience for each guest.
Key Responsibilities :
- Greeting guests once they are sat, offering knowledgeable suggestions, anticipating guests’ needs, responding promptly throughout service while maintaining a positive, warm, friendly and engaging disposition.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned station and service areas.
- Maintain complete knowledge of :
- Table / seat / station numbers, room capacity, hours of operation, proper table set-up and dress code of the restaurant
- The characteristics and description of every wine / champagne by the glass and major wines on the wine list
- All menu items, prices, preparation method / time, major ingredients, quality standards of taste, appearance, texture, serving temperature, portion size, garnish, and method of presentation
- State liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors and intoxicated persons.
- Daily specials and 86'd items throughout the shift
- The proper technique for taking guests' food and beverage orders, utilizing up-selling techniques, and properly recording orders into a P.O.S. or manual systems
- Leadership techniques to effectively guide your team throughout the service, as well as assisting all staff in their job functions to ensure optimum service to guests
- Proper payment, cash handling and credit card policies / procedures
Required Qualifications / Skills :
- 2+ years of server experience.
- Experience and / or good working knowledge of standard Point of Sales systems.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to stand on your feet for several hours.
- Open schedule availability / flexibility. (including weekends)
- Positive attitude, engaging etiquette, and exceptional interpersonal skills.

Compensation Details
Compensation : Hourly ($10.65) plus tips
