Description

Your role will encompass a diverse array of responsibilities, including :

Control system design, analysis, and integration for haptic actuators Characterize and validate haptic module and system performance Perform system modeling and simulation Prototype bring-up, debug and characterization Define factory test requirements for haptic system Author engineering requirements and specifications Communicating cross-functionally and throughout management structure (written, verbal, and presentation) Perform failure mode analysis and problem solving International travel to support the product development IP generation

Minimum Qualifications

BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience

Strong background in control engineering, dynamics, and signal processing

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Team Oriented : must be able to thrive in collaborative cross-functional environments

Preferred Qualifications

Hands-on experience in control system design, analysis, implementation, and validation

Familiarity with modeling electro-mechanical system

Proficiency with Matlab / Simulink and C / C++ Experience with electromagnetic or piezoelectric actuators is a plus

Experience with high volume mass production is a plus

Knowledge of micro controller or embedded hardware / software is a plus

Knowledge of state-space techniques is a plus

Knowledge of nonlinear control technique is a plus

Experience with AI / ML-based control system design is a plus

M.S. or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Applied Physics or equivalent with a specialization in control engineering

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
