Job description

We are looking for an experienced and welcoming  General Manage r to join our team.

The  Restaurant General Manager  will focus on maintaining our team, growing our customer base by exceeding service standards consistently and responsibly managing cost controls. They will incorporate our core values and mission into their daily management structure and execution.

The ideal candidate models the exemplary leadership skills necessary to operate a high performing restaurant.  They will also work closely with the Director of Operations to ensure operations, food preparation, service, and other back-of-house and front-of-house needs are run efficiently and meet both financial and quality objectives.

Restaurant  General Manager  Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensures cash policies and procedures are being followed at all times.
  • Manages appropriate inventory levels in product and plan accurately plan for forecasted sales trends.
  • Cultivates a culture of providing the highest level of hospitality between the guests and employees.
  • Conducts performance reviews with team members and consistently holds them accountable through performance management.
  • Coordinate morale and exceeding customer expectation with attention to quickness and accuracy
  • Schedules effectively to responsibly provide customer service and team support and target labor goals
  • Ensures products are consistent with company quality standards
  • Upkeep and attention to care of equipment and arrangements for repairs, contracts and other services
  • Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, training, motivation, evaluation and termination of team members
  • Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations
  • Strong wine knowledge

Restaurant  General Manager  Requirements & Skills

  • 3-5 years of restaurant management experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform in with a frequent interruption and / or distractions.
  • Responsible for maintaining health department regulations, training, and employee development.
  • Ability to communicate efficiently to help keep all team members informed of business changes and standards.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time while leading the team and serving guests.
  • Available and able to work all shifts in the restaurant as scheduled to meet the needs of the business.
  • Team oriented, adaptable, dependable, and strong work ethic.
  • Exceptional customer service skills required
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills required
  • Basic business math and accounting skills required
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Knowledge of food and labor cost
  • Enjoys working with people
  • Ability to create a fun environment for customers and staff
  • Self-motivated and highly energetic
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive informatio
