Sewing Operator

We are seeking a skilled Sewing Operator to join our team in producing high-quality radiation protection aprons. The role involves operating industrial sewing machines, including single-needle, walking foot, or specialized machines, to assemble aprons made from multilayer materials such as lead or lead-free radiation shielding, vinyl, nylon, or coated fabrics. You will be responsible for reading and following work orders, patterns, and technical specifications, as well as measuring, cutting, and aligning materials accurately to ensure proper fit and coverage.

Responsibilities :

• Operate industrial sewing machines to assemble radiation protection aprons.
• Sew and assemble multilayer materials, including lead or lead-free radiation shielding.
• Read and follow work orders, patterns, and technical specifications.
• Measure, cut, and align materials accurately.
• Inspect finished products for stitching accuracy and strength.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform basic machine maintenance and report mechanical issues.
• Follow workplace safety guidelines, including proper handling of radiation shielding materials.

Compensation : $20.00+ (Depending on experience)

Schedule : 5 : 30AM - 3 : 00PM M-F

Job Type & Location : This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Camarillo, CA.

Pay and Benefits : The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $29.80 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
