Overview

Senior Electrical Engineer-Surface role at Jobs via Dice. Microsoft Corporation is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to focus on the electrical system design for next generation Surface products. You will work cross-functionally with Industrial Design, Mechanical, Electrical, Thermal, Software and Firmware teams to develop compelling innovative products. You will design and develop circuits, select key strategic components and address the entire product design lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead motherboard floorplan and layout in collaboration with ME, ID, and Thermal teams.
• Develop schematics and BOM to meet design requirements.
• Design, build, and test rapid prototypes for evaluation of new product ideas or technology concepts.
• Create design documentation, develop schematics, and board layouts to meet system design requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize the overall system from concept to completion.
• Use simulation and lab measurements to support design troubleshooting, drive failure analysis, root cause analysis, and design of experiments to resolve issues.
• Work with suppliers, contractors, and engineering services to ensure on-time delivery with high quality.

Qualifications

Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with 3+ years of technical engineering experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of technical engineering experience, or equivalent experience.

Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with 6+ years of experience or Bachelors Degree with 8+ years, or equivalent experience.

Electrical Engineering IC4 The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range for specific locations (San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metro area).
