Transportation Supervisor

The Transportation Supervisor provides direct supervision and coordination of the daily activities related to transportation programs and roles, such as drivers and / or transportation administrative support roles. Creates schedules and assigns routes to maximize efficiencies and enhance company profitability. Ensures compliance with transportation regulations and company policies and procedures. Analyzes and resolves work problems and assists team members in solving work problems. Selects, develops, and evaluates team members to ensure the efficient operations.

Principal Responsibilities :

• Provides day to day supervision of CDL Drivers for employees.
• Plan schedules and routes to ensure maximum efficiencies.
• Ensures the vehicle fleet is properly maintained.
• Ensures compliance with Federal, State and Local laws for Hazardous. Material and Hazardous Waste shipments.
• Monitors and assists with keeping operational costs at or below budget.
• Ensures clear communication with internal operations, disposal facilities, and others in the normal course of transportation.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
• Supervises employees per organization chart.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
• Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Environmental Solutions

We see strong growth opportunities for our offerings, including PFAS remediation, an increasing customer need.

Sustainability Innovation

Republic's recent innovations to advance circularity and decarbonization demonstrate our unique ability to leverage sustainability as a platform for growth.

The Republic Services Polymer Center is the nation's first integrated plastics recycling facility. This innovative site processes rigid plastics from our recycling centers, producing recycled materials that promote true bottle-to-bottle circularity. We also formed Blue Polymers, a joint venture with Ravago, to develop facilities that will further process plastic material from our Polymer Centers to help meet the growing demand for sustainable packaging. We are building a network of Polymer Centers and Blue Polymer facilities across North America.

We continue to advance decarbonization at our landfills. As demand for renewable energy continues to grow, we have 70 landfill gas-to-energy projects in operation and plan to expand our portfolio to 115 projects by 2028.
