Description :

Travel opportunity for an experienced medical-surgical nurse.

The unit consists of 18 beds with a team of 32 staff members.

Patients typically have diverse medical needs, including those recovering from various surgical procedures and medical conditions.

Patient ratios are estimated at 5 : 1 for RN staff.

Key responsibilities include monitoring and managing patient care, executing physician orders, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

Nurses are expected to perform effective communication with patients and their families, utilizing established protocols.

Resource nurses are available during each shift for guidance and support.

Nurses should be comfortable with precepting and mentoring newer staff.

Weekend shifts are a requirement for this position.

Standards of behavior emphasize integrity, compassion, accountability, respect, and excellence.

Daily routines include shift huddles for communication and updates on patient care.

Documentation and charting must be completed accurately and timely, with a focus on quality patient care.
