Responsibilities

As a Security Specialist III with AMERICAN SYSTEMS you will have the opportunity to do the following :

• Serve as a subject matter expert across all security disciplines, including Physical Security, Information Security, Personnel Security, Industrial Security, Communications Security, Special Programs, Sensitive Compartmented Information, Collateral Security, and related areas.
• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive security policies, procedures, and plans in accordance with applicable Department of Defense, Marine Corps, and federal regulations.
• Conduct security risk assessments, vulnerability analyses, and compliance reviews to identify and mitigate potential threats and vulnerabilities.
• Manage and oversee all aspects of personnel security, including processing security clearances, conducting background investigations, and providing security awareness training.
• Administer and maintain access control systems, alarm systems, and other physical security measures to safeguard facilities and assets.
• Oversee the secure handling, storage, and transmission of classified information, ensuring compliance with INFOSEC policies and procedures.
• Provide guidance and support to program managers and other personnel on security-related matters.
• Investigate security incidents and violations, conduct interviews, and prepare detailed reports of findings and recommendations.
• Liaise with government security officials and other external stakeholders on security-related issues.
• Develop and deliver security awareness training programs to educate personnel on security policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Manage and maintain security documentation, including security plans, standard operating procedures, and other relevant records.

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $89,800.00 / Yr. - USD $150,000.00 / Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
