Security Director

Job Summary

The Security Director leads and manages all aspects of campus security and emergency response for Brigham Young University–Hawaii and the Polynesian Cultural Center (PCC). Overseeing a team of approximately 80 full-time, part-time, and student employees, this role ensures a safe, service-oriented environment for students, employees, volunteers, missionaries, visitors, and tourists.

Primary Responsibilities

Campus Security (55%)

• Develop and sustain visible, service-oriented security programs across the university and PCC through patrols, training, and proactive prevention measures.
• Direct crowd management, dignitary protection, parking operations, and access services.
• Lead internal investigations of criminal and non-criminal matters.
• Manage emergency preparedness and disaster response.
• Actively participate in the campus Behavior Intervention Team.

Approximate starting salary : $106,000 – $131,000. The salary offered could be above or below range based on education and experience as it relates to the job description.
