Senior Employment Counsel

Job overview : We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and motivated individual to join us as Senior Employment Counsel. You will serve as a key member of our growing Legal team : providing strategic and practical legal advice on a wide range of employment matters; designing and implementing scalable policies and processes that enable the company to grow compliantly and efficiently; and partnering with cross-functional leaders to help manage the company's benefit plans. You'll develop policies, guide compliance initiatives, and advise on sensitive employee relations issues while helping shape a thoughtful, equitable workplace culture.

Your Impact :

• Advise on all aspects of employment law, including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, wage and hour, accommodations, leaves of absence, and compensation practices.
• Ensure company-wide compliance with employment laws and regulations; provide timely updates and recommendations on legislative and regulatory changes affecting the workplace.
• Manage and advise on employee relations matters, internal investigations, and disciplinary actions in partnership with the People team.
• Draft, review, and maintain employment documents and templates - for example, offer letters and employment agreements, employee handbooks, codes of conduct, and separation agreements.
• Collaborate with HR to develop, implement, and update employee policies and training.
• Advise on performance management, disciplinary actions, and termination decisions, including reductions in force.
• Oversee, manage, and develop strategies for employment-related litigation and disputes; partner with and own outside counsel relationships for these matters.
• Partner with regulatory counsel and HR on ERISA compliance and management of the company's benefits plans.

Below is a summary of salary ranges for this role in the following geographies :

California, New York State and Washington State Base Compensation Ranges : $197,800 - $247,300

This role is also eligible for participation in annual cash bonus and equity grants.
