What This Job Involves :
The Operating Engineer - Plumber role is critical to maintaining and enhancing the plumbing infrastructure across JLL's general offices and local sites. This position ensures the reliable operation of potable and non-potable water systems while delivering exceptional service that supports our clients' daily operations. As a skilled tradesperson within our facilities management team, you'll contribute to JLL's mission of creating safe, functional environments that enable business success through expert installation, maintenance, and repair services.
What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like :
Install, maintain, and repair potable and non-potable water systems across multiple facilities
Maintain work order system (CMMS) daily and complete client service requests promptly
Diagnose mechanical and piping faults for water systems and perform emergency repairs safely and efficiently
Complete assigned tasks including painting, pressure washing, lighting system maintenance, HVAC systems, and water treatment
Provide technical direction and on-the-job training to team members and support staff
Keep daily logs and records of all maintenance functions and ensure vendor compliance with safety regulations
Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs
Required Qualifications :
3+ years of experience as a plumber with willingness to continue professional education
Valid driver's license with clean driving record for travel between sites
Understanding of advanced plumbing principles and working knowledge of boiler systems
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Proficiency in reading schematics and work plans
Ability to work after hours, weekends, and holidays with short or no notice
Preferred Qualifications :
HVAC certification and EPA 608 certification
Experience with irrigation systems identification and maintenance
Ability to work in confined spaces and challenging environments
Experience with CMMS systems and digital work order management
Additional certifications in water treatment or specialized plumbing systems
Estimated compensation for this position : 76,800.00 86,400.00 USD per year. This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
