Minimum Education :
Master's degree in American Sign Language or Education for the Hearing Impaired with fluency in the use of American Sign Language or Master’s Degree and 18 graduate credit hours in American Sign Language or Education for the Hearing Impaired with fluency in the use of American Sign Language or Bachelor’s degree in American Sign Language, Sign Language Interpreting, or Education of the Deaf or Hard of Hearing with fluency in the use of American Sign Language plus National Certification in Sign Language Interpreting (as recognized under the Registry of the Interpreters for the Deaf RID), or American Sign Language Teachers Association (ASLTA) Certification and demonstrated competency in teaching.
Ph.D. preferred.
Minimum Experience / Training :
Prior college teaching experience is preferred.
The successful candidate must have a high level of computer literacy and a commitment to teaching.
All schedules require office hours and some may require evening and / or weekend hours.
