Overview
We're seeking a motivated and strategic Business Development Manager to lead revenue growth across key accounts within the aerospace and defense sectors. This role is responsible for managing the full sales cycle - from opportunity identification and relationship development to negotiation and fulfillment. The ideal candidate brings a strong technical understanding of the industry, excellent relationship-building skills, and a proven ability to meet or exceed annual sales objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete sales process within an assigned territory or portfolio, focusing on achieving annual revenue targets.
 - Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication, on-site visits, and quarterly business reviews.
 - Identify new business opportunities by understanding customer needs and recommending customized supply chain solutions.
 - Lead the preparation of proposals, quotations, and pricing strategies in collaboration with internal sales and operations teams.
 - Negotiate contracts and close sales opportunities while ensuring compliance with company policies and customer requirements.
 - Monitor account performance and profitability, adjusting sales approaches in response to market trends and cost changes.
 - Maintain accurate pipeline data, forecasts, and activity records in CRM systems.
 - Collaborate with technical and product teams to develop solutions that enhance customer value and strengthen long-term partnerships.
 - Support business planning and forecasting by providing regular updates on account performance and market conditions.
 - Resolve client inquiries and service issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
 
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred, with 5+ years of sales or business development experience in the aerospace, defense, or military electronics industry.Experience working with OEM and aftermarket clients in a technical or engineering-driven sales environment.Proven success developing and executing strategic account plans and achieving growth targets.Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to build trust at all organizational levels.Ability to analyze market data, manage complex projects, and adapt to evolving business priorities.Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and CRM software.Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of thriving with minimal supervision.Multilingual communication skills.Prior experience preparing or leading quarterly business reviews (QBRs) and presenting strategic growth plans.Working knowledge of aerospace and defense regulatory environments.Special Requirements
