ABA has been a leader in the office equipment industry for over 30 years with 6 offices throughout Southern New England providing Office Equipment Solutions and IT Services to our partners in business. We are currently searching for a self-driven in-shop technician to work out of our Warwick, RI office to assist with preparing equipment for our client base.

No experience is required, just sound mechanical skills, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn new skills. This position has the potential to allow room for advancement within ABS. Your day as an In-Shop Service Technician

In this position, you will embark on an engaging and hands-on experience daily. Your responsibilities will include diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various office equipment, ensuring optimal functionality for our clients. You will be expected to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently and effectively, documenting your findings and solutions for future reference. Customer interaction will be a key aspect of your role, as you'll communicate repair progress and address any inquiries. Routine maintenance checks and inventory management will also be part of your tasks, fostering an organized and efficient workspace.

Collaborating with teammates, you'll share knowledge and techniques to enhance service quality. This role demands attention to detail and a commitment to delivering top-notch service, making each day an opportunity to learn and grow within the office supply industry.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are :

  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Basic electronics knowledge (training modules available)
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to communicate and interact with other departments professionally and politely
  • Desire to learn and improve
  • Basic computer skills are needed to assist with set-up and machine issues.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs
  • Must have valid driver's license
