Are you interested in being part of a cutting-edge health-tech company that's transforming health diagnostics? Our client, a well-funded Connecticut-based startup, is looking for a Staff level Electrical Engineer to join their team.
The Opportunity :
As a Staff Electrical Engineer, you will play a pivotal in the startup role with full development lifecycle responsibility for innovative products.
Responsibilities :
- Own hardware electrical systems architecture
- Create original designs for novel In-Vitro Diagnostics medical devices
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams for rapid design, prototyping, and testing of electrical systems
- Develop and document tests to ensure optimal system performance
- Lead Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design Verification Testing (DVT) analyses for electrical / electronic hardware designs
- Design for higher-volume, lower-cost manufacturing
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field with 5+ years of professional experience
- Expertise in electrical systems architecture, schematic capture, and PCB layout
- Hands-on lab experience with electronic circuits and test equipment
- Experience with component and circuit simulations, DFM, and DVT analyses
- Proficiency in Altium or similar tools, BOM management, and version control systems (Git)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Bonus Points if You Have :
- Experience with rapid prototype fabrication techniques
- Product design and manufacturing experience
- Familiarity with fields such as microfluidic design, molecular biology, optics.
