VHB is growing its Southeastern region and is in search of a Structural Engineer - Bridge / Transportation. Joining our team means becoming part of an already successful and award-winning firm whose dynamic, innovative, and forward-thinking environment leads the industry with cutting-edge model-based bridge design of transportation related projects in Florida, Georgia, and throughout our footprint along the east coast of the US.

In this position you would serve in a technical role in the planning, analysis, design, and detailing of bridge and other transportation related structural projects - from highway to pedestrian to rail - as well as mentor our structural team. The ideal candidate should possess a "can-do" attitude, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and an ability to work independently as well as with a team in a dynamic, fast-paced, and fun environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural modeling and design for bridge and other transportation infrastructure projects
• Prepare construction documents, including plans, estimates and calculation packages
• Provide technical support to other structural engineering staff
• Provide project management support
• Review fabrication drawings and provide construction plan reviews
