Senior Controls Engineer

Overview

Seeking a Senior Electrical / Controls Engineer for our Atlanta, GA branch location. Will function as a hands-on engineer providing electrical & controls engineering expertise for project design, commissioning and start-up. This person will report to client sites in Atlanta and may be required to travel roughly 10-15% to out-of-state client sites as well as to work some weekends.

Responsibilities

• Will apply engineering principles to existing and proposed processes working with various clients, vendors, and other consultants. Types of projects will include mostly process systems and some packaging systems. Industries will likely include food & beverage, chemical & other industries.
• Will support all aspects of electrical controls project execution (either independently or as part of a team), including control system design, controls programming, project documentation, and site start-up support of integrated systems. Will be responsible for creating or upgrading PLC and HMI controls systems. Responsible for generating electrical schematics, control panel design, and generating electrical installation bid packages as well as supervising related installation activities.
• Projects must be delivered at times on aggressive schedules with attention to accuracy and strict safety requirements.
