Senior Engineer Solutions Architect

One day a week required in office in McLean, VA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Develop and maintain architecture that guide the development and integration of solutions.
• Support the design of solution architectures under the supervision of senior architects. Participate in the development and documentation of system designs, workflows, and integration plans.
• Provide technical guidance to development teams throughout the SDLC, ensuring best practices and standards are followed to meet business needs.
• Work closely with product managers, business analysts, business development and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to ensure the highest quality and performance of software solutions. Maintain awareness of industry trends and emerging technologies. Demonstrate a customer-focused mindset in all solution design efforts.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the project lifecycle. Contribute to testing, troubleshooting, and optimization of solutions.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for architectural designs, technical specifications, and project plans. Support document version control, team collaboration tools, and information gathering from SMEs.
• Build relationships with internal teams to support collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with delivery teams to understand implementation requirements and operational considerations.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure alignment between business goals and technical solutions. Communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders to understand business needs.
• Participate in meetings and presentations to explain technical concepts in accessible terms. Support vendor and partner interactions as needed.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and training to other technical employees; delegate and review work of more junior technical professionals.

Pay Transparency :

Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. An applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation. Maximus will comply with regulatory minimum wage rates and exempt salary thresholds in all instances.

Minimum Salary : $109,140.00

Maximum Salary : $154,080.00
