Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Job Responsibilities
Partner with licensed Physical Therapists to deliver individualized outpatient treatment plans.
Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and recovery techniques.
Track and document progress in the electronic health record (EHR), reporting updates to the supervising PT.
Teach patients and families home exercise programs and injury-prevention strategies.
Create a positive, motivating environment that supports patient success.
Assist with clinic organization and equipment readiness.
PTA Job Requirements
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
Current state PTA licensure or certification (Texas or compact-eligible).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications :
Previous outpatient rehab or physical therapy clinic experience.
Familiarity with electronic medical / health record (EHR / EMR) systems.
Bilingual abilities (English / Spanish preferred).
Additional therapy-related certifications.
