Revenue Cycle Credit Resolution Coordinator

The Revenue Cycle Credit Resolution Coordinator will be primarily responsible for the daily processing of third party and patient refunds utilizing a credit balance work queues, correspondence, or incoming calls / emails. The Revenue Cycle Credit Resolution Coordinator will be required to research patient accounts in the Epic EMR system with an understanding of payment, allowance, and write-off transactions and make a sound decision as to whether a true overpayment or credit exists. The incumbent will need to be able to interpret EOB's and R / A's and comprehend coordination of benefits.

This role is 100% On-Site at the Westpark Facility (3401 General De Gaulle Dr, New Orleans, LA 70114). Shift Hours are between 7am - 3 : 30pm (Maximum of 20 hours per week).

Your Everyday

Daily processing of third party and patient refunds :

  • Daily processing of third party and patient refunds to bring resolution to accounts in assigned inventory.

Required to research patient accounts in the Epic EMR system with an understanding of payment and write-off transactions :

  • Required to accurately analyze and research patient accounts and submit the necessary adjustments to bring resolution to the account.
  • Be able to interpret EOB's and R / A's and comprehend coordination of benefits :

  • Must be able to read and interpret explanation of benefits (EOB's) in order to take the necessary steps to bring resolution to the account.
  • The Must-Haves

    Minimum :

  • Required : High School Diploma / GED or equivalent OR 2 years of work experience in a hospital or physician setting.
  • Preferred : Previous experience with analyzing explanation of benefits (EOBs) from various insurance companies / payors.
  • Preferred : Associate's Degree or higher with a focus on Accounting.
  • Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements concerning credit balances for patient and third-party payers.
