Social Media Specialist - Content Creator

Charleys Kids is a non-profit organization dedicated to making a lasting educational impact in the lives of under-resourced children. Our mission is to strengthen communities through education, primarily delivered by our flagship program, the Children’s Tutoring Initiative (CTI).

The Children’s Tutoring Initiative (CTI) is an in-school literacy program designed to help elementary students who are reading below grade level. By partnering with schools and community organizations, we connect trained volunteer tutors with students to build essential reading skills that lead to long-term success.

Position Overview

The Marketing and Social Media Specialist plays a key role in telling the story of Charleys Kids and the Children’s Tutoring Initiative. This position is responsible for creating and implementing engaging digital and print content that increases awareness, builds community engagement, and supports program growth. The Specialist manages social media platforms, designs marketing materials, maintains fresh and accessible website content, and collaborates with internal teams and partners to highlight program successes and events.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a strategic content calendar with 3–4 weekly posts across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
• Create compelling content including photos, videos, graphics, and written stories.
• Share program updates, volunteer spotlights, and organizational milestones.
• Monitor engagement and adjust strategies to improve reach and audience interaction.
