Medical Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our busy outpatient office. The role involves monitoring patient arrival, assisting with patient flow, and ensuring that patients and visitors are greeted promptly and courteously. You will escort patients to exam rooms, monitor wait times, assist in exam preparations, and advise physicians when patients are ready.

Responsibilities :

• Obtain and record patients' chief complaints and information, including data, histories, vital signs, allergies, and specimen collections.
• Document results in patients' charts within the scope of practice.
• Prepare medical records and take heights, weights, and vital signs.
• Ensure lab and other reports are on records before each patient's appointment.
• Provide interpretation services and clerical support for efficient office functioning.
• Maintain examination rooms and medical areas in a clean and orderly manner.
• Stock examination rooms with supplies and verify supplies from vendors against packing slips.
• Update patient information, including medical insurance coverage and eligibility, in the appropriate EMR system.
• Retrieve and file medical reports and lab results.
• Maintain confidentiality of patients' health information in accordance with HIPAA rules.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of White Plains, New York.

Pay and Benefits :

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
