Medical Assistant
Location : White Plains, NY
Responsibilities
- Greet and escort patients to exam rooms, monitor wait times, and assist with exam preparation
- Record vital signs, medical histories, allergies, and chief complaints with precision
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation in the EMR system
- Ensure lab reports and other documentation are available prior to appointments
- Provide interpretation services and clerical support to streamline office operations
- Keep exam rooms clean, stocked, and organized
- Verify medical insurance coverage and update patient information
- Retrieve and file medical reports and lab results
- Uphold HIPAA standards and protect patient confidentiality
Required Skills
Proficiency in taking vitals and using EMR systemsExperience scheduling appointments and managing patient flowAt least 2 years of experience in a healthcare settingPreferred Qualifications
Familiarity with EPIC and other patient care systemsMedical Assistant certification or equivalent experienceWork Environment
High-volume outpatient offices in Scarsdale, Hawthorne, and White PlainsMonday to Friday schedule, 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PMPatient volume ranges from 50 to 100 per dayCollaborative and supportive team cultureBenefits
