Tax Staff - Public

We are looking for a Tax Staff - Public to join our team in Dallas, Texas. The primary function of this role is to handle various tax-related tasks in a well-organized and detail-oriented manner. The position is based in the public sector and includes responsibilities such as processing customer credit applications, maintaining accurate customer credit records, and resolving customer credit inquiries. Responsibilities include accurately processing customer credit applications, maintaining and updating customer credit records regularly, addressing and resolving customer credit inquiries promptly, monitoring customer credit accounts and taking appropriate action to collect delinquent payments, utilizing various software such as CCH ProSystem Fx, CCH Sales Tax, Gosystem, and Microsoft Excel to perform accounting functions, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and standards, providing exceptional customer service in all interactions, performing auditing tasks as needed, managing cash activity effectively, and working collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements include proficiency in tax software such as CCH ProSystem Fx and CCH Sales Tax, familiarity with Gosystem and Management System software, advanced Microsoft Excel skills, experience in performing accounting functions and auditing, ability to handle cash activity and ensure compliance with financial regulations, strong customer service skills and ability to interact professionally with clients, a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field (CPA or EA certification is a plus), strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills, ability to work well within a team and collaborate with other departments, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
