Environmental Scientist II

Job Summary :

The Environmental Scientist II is responsible for performing complex environmental reports and plans fieldwork and other regulatory compliance tasks. This mid-level role supports environmental permitting reporting and ongoing compliance. The position requires a strong understanding of environmental regulations and the ability to manage projects with moderate role is ideal for someone who thrives on balancing technical environmental compliance work with proactive client and project management responsibilities. The successful candidate will oversee projects from planning through delivery ensuring regulatory compliance technical accuracy and exceptional client service for our clients.

Duties / Responsibilities :

• Assist with environmental permitting and reporting (e.g. stormwater air emissions SPCC SWPPP).
• Support environmental permitting activities across various sectors (e.g. Chemical processing infrastructure manufacturing pulp and paper) in compliance with local state and federal regulations.
• Prepare review and submit environmental permit applications including air water and waste permits.
• Interpret and apply environmental regulations from EPA state agencies and local authorities
• Monitor compliance with environmental regulations such as Clean Air Act Clean Water Act RCRA and others as applicable.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders to ensure timely approvals and effective implementation of mitigation measures.
• Conduct field inspections and support data collection for ongoing compliance tracking.
• Maintain documentation and records for audits and inspections support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Stay current on environmental regulations and industry best practices to proactively manage risk.

PAY RATE : $65000 / ANNUALLY
