Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Data Governance Lead Specialist to oversee and enhance the organization's data governance framework. This role involves establishing policies, standards, and processes to ensure data integrity, compliance, and quality across all business units. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in data management, strong leadership skills, and the ability to drive strategic initiatives to improve how data is managed, secured, and utilized.

Key Responsibilities :

Develop, implement, and maintain data governance policies, standards, and procedures across the organization.

Lead initiatives to improve data quality, consistency, and accessibility.

Define roles, responsibilities, and accountability for data stewardship and ownership.

Collaborate with business and IT teams to ensure alignment with data governance objectives.

Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Provide guidance on metadata management, data lineage, and master data management practices.

Monitor and report on key data governance metrics to senior management.

Educate and train stakeholders on best practices for data governance and data management.

Serve as a subject matter expert on regulatory requirements impacting data usage and storage.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master's preferred).

12+ years of experience in data management, data governance, or related roles.

Proven expertise in data governance frameworks, data quality management, and data lifecycle processes.

Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA) and compliance standards.

Experience with data management tools, such as Collibra, Informatica, or Alation.

Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Strong communication and leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams.

Ability to influence stakeholders and drive adoption of data governance practices.

Familiarity with data architecture, business intelligence, and enterprise data systems.
