The Product Monetization Strategy team inside MAI is responsible for defining how we create user experiences that delight users and business models that empower advertisers to meet their goals. We are seeking a forward-thinking Product Marketing Director to lead customer insights, positioning, and go-to-market strategy for our non-ad monetization offerings. As the web evolves with AI and agentic experiences, this role will shape the next wave of opportunities for Microsoft to deliver value to both end users and B2B customers. You will help to inform and articulate the unique benefits of partnering with Microsoft, crafting GTM strategies that position Microsoft as the partner of choice in the agentic web. Key responsibilities include gathering customer input to inform Microsoft AI infrastructure services and creating compelling product positioning that attracts companies looking to enhance their own AI assistants, as well as third-party partners integrating services with Microsoft Copilot. This role requires close collaboration with Product Management and Business Development teams and the ability to influence technical roadmaps and partner discussions in highly complex, technical environments. The ideal candidate brings committed experience in leading customer-centric GTM strategies, with a proven record of successful partnerships with Engineering and PM teams. We seek someone with experience applying different customer listening approaches to influence product decisions. Finally, the ideal candidate must have the ability to define compelling and differentiated product positioning, serving as a beacon for our product value proposition, guiding internal teams, and enabling the creation of consistent external messaging. Required Qualifications : Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 4+ years experience in business + OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in business + OR equivalent experience. 4+ years of experience in Product Marketing, Product Management or similar roles, leading cross-organizational teams and working with Engineering partners. 3+ years of applying different customer listening approaches to inform and influence product development. Committed experience with product positioning and value proposition development, with leading differentiated value propositions and translating complex features into compelling narratives.
Preferred Qualifications : 8+ years of experience in Product Marketing, Product Management or similar roles, leading cross-organizational teams and working with Engineering partners. Understanding the landscape of AI infrastructure services such as the use of agent-to-agent protocols and APIs. Category development : experience defining or driving demand for a new category of products. Experience GTMing disruptive products preferred. Experience with AI products : worked with generative AI products, professionally (ideally) or as a user. Understand the concept of agents and how brands could use them. Solid understanding of the generative AI tech landscape. Experience cultivating trust-based relationships directly with senior level leaders internally. Capacity to deal with ambiguity and iterate with partners to refine new concepts and business models. Demonstrates curiosity and actively explores options. Responds efficiently to changing demands and circumstances, maintaining a constructive attitude. Data-Driven Problem Solver : Uses data to identify trends and prioritize work. Set up hypotheses and test them out to inform how we should scale. Organizational agility and ability to work across organizational boundaries to build alignment at multiple levels of leadership and drive closure on issues.
