About the Opportunity
JOB SUMMARY :
Northeastern University Sports Performance is seeking to fill a vacancy for the position of athletic trainer that will be a part of our athlete-centered performance care model.
This positionwillreport to the Director of Sports Performance. This position delivers athletic training services to allNCAA Division-I intercollegiate athletes at Northeastern University who compete in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) and Hockey East.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE :
- Managing potentially catastrophic, acute, and chronic athletic injuries within the scope of practice for athletic training, to include rehabilitation and return-to-play decisions.
- Collaboratingwith strength and conditioning coaches,physical therapists, team physicians, sports medicine fellows, athletic training studentsand other clinical students associated with Sports Performance and Northeastern University.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
BOC Certified (or eligible)
Massachusetts Licensed Athletic Trainer (or eligible)
Master’s degree from an accredited educational institution in a field related to athletic training
Current CPR / AED certification
