We are seeking an Electrical BIM Designer to support Our vision of becoming the best water consulting firm.
This is a junior BIM designer position. The position requires comprehensive proficiency in 2D CAD software and a demonstrated knowledge of 3D design capabilities.
This position also requires a good understanding of engineering drawing development in the area of water and wastewater facilities design and the associated infrastructure.
Job duties will also include the coordination of drawing production activities between all disciplines at the project level.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Able to develop structural design layouts and drawings from sketches provided by engineers and senior design staff.
- Assist in the preparation of structural specifications, estimates, and material lists with project engineer's or project manager's guidance.
- A fundamental working knowledge of structural drawing layout, detailing, and drafting of structural solutions.
- Ability to develop 2D drawing views from 3D structural models and complete detailing and annotation.
- Assist in the quality checking of drafted product and conformance with drawing production standards and project specific CAD / BIM requirements.
- Working knowledge of water, wastewater, and infrastructure design.
- Basic understanding of converting data between Revit and AutoCAD.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Advanced proficiency in 2D CAD using MicroStation and AutoCAD, and a demonstrated proficiency with 3D CAD / BIM techniques using Revit Structure software applications.
- Familiar with AISC weld symbols and their application.
- Fundamental knowledge of 3D structural modeling for concrete, masonry, and steel structures using Revit Structure applications.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two-year technical or Associate Degree.
- 5 years of experience in engineering or related field.
Pay Range
$30.00 to $35.00 per hour. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.
We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
