About The Position

Experience : Minimum 2 years of experience in PCU with 1 : 3-4 ratios preferred
License : Valid state nursing license required at the time of submission
Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIH required
Must-Have :
1 : 3 patient ratio with trachs and ventilator management required
Non-titrated cardiac drip management (Amiodarone, Milrinone, Lasix, Cardizem, Dopamine, and Dobutamine) required
Insulin 3 : 1 preferred (not required)
Telemetry and PCU / DOU / IMC / Stepdown experience required
Description :
This position requires a registered nurse to provide patient care in a step-down unit.
The nurse will monitor patients and manage care with a focus on post-surgical recovery and chronic conditions.
Experience in telemetry and care for patients with tracheostomies and on ventilators is essential.
The nurse will be responsible for managing various cardiac drips without titration.
Knowledge of insulin protocols is preferred, though not required.
The position involves working with patients experiencing critical conditions such as sepsis, respiratory failure, and acute on chronic renal failure.
Candidates must be comfortable floating within areas of competency and be willing to work a minimum of two weekends per month.
Skills in managing and interpreting dysrhythmias, central lines, and PICC line care are necessary.
Familiarity with rapid response teams and interdisciplinary support is also important.
Wound care and isolation precautions are part of the responsibilities.
The facility provides additional support through various services such as physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.
Maintaining clear communication through established protocols is crucial for patient safety and care quality.
The nurse will follow strict protocols and guidelines to ensure comprehensive care for all patients.
