We are looking for a detail-oriented Cash Application Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Louisville, Kentucky. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments and maintaining strong records of cash applications. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in accounts receivable and cash handling processes, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities :

• Process incoming payments efficiently and accurately across various platforms.
• Maintain detailed records of cash applications and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in payment postings to ensure account accuracy.
• Communicate with internal teams and external parties regarding payment-related inquiries.
• Perform regular reconciliations of accounts receivable to maintain financial integrity.
• Work closely with team members to streamline cash posting operations.
• Ensure timely and accurate application of payments to customer accounts.
• Monitor and report on cash application metrics and address any issues proactively.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Support additional accounting tasks as needed to meet departmental goals.
