HR Assistant

Responsibilities :
- Greet and welcome visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
- Answer and direct phone calls efficiently to the appropriate staff member.
- Manage and organize office operations, including handling mail, packages, deliveries, and correspondence.
- Pull monthly benefits reports, review for eligibility, update systems, and coordinate with benefits agents.
- Review monthly benefit carrier invoices to confirm accuracy, ensuring proper inclusion / exclusion of employees and processing credits or refunds.
- Support communication efforts by managing emails and other electronic communications.
- Maintain and update records, databases, and contact lists accurately.
- Assist in preparing and executing company events and projects.
- Ensure a clean and organized office environment, including restocking supplies in breakrooms and closets.
- Provide administrative support to the ALS team as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned to enhance overall office operations.
Required Skills :
Excellent phone skills : ability to communicate efficiently and professionally over the phone.Proficiency with technology : competent use of software such as the Microsoft Suite and Constant Contact.HR and benefits knowledge : prior experience in human resources and benefits is a plus.Soft Skills :
Team collaboration : ability to work effectively within a compact and collaborative team environment.Multi-tasking : capable of handling multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously.Organizational abilities : demonstrates strong organizational skills in managing office operations and projects.Requirements :
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to adapt to new technologies.Experience in HR and benefits administration is highly desirable.Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work collaboratively within a small team environment.Familiarity with HRIS systems and onboarding processes is advantageous.Previous experience in employee relations and benefits coordination preferred.A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a related field.
