Job Details
Responsibilities :
- Processing vendor invoices to include posting in the accounting system
- Processing vendor Purchase Orders and posting in the accounting system
- Knowing the difference between a capital asset and non-capital business expense
- Knowing general accounts payable internal controls and approval processes
- Know the difference between a contract for services and invoice service and required documentation to support the transaction
- Know how to reconcile and balance accounts payable systems in total
- Have general accounting experience
- Be familiar with federal accounts payable processes
- Have the ability to interact with vendors
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree
- Three years of experience in all accounting functions
- Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication and computer skills are required, along with being detail oriented
