Responsibilities

The Technical Product Manager is responsible for defining a product vision and developing a strategy to accomplish key business objectives in the eCommerce web and mobile sites.

The position is responsible for defining and maintaining a product roadmap in the support of the strategy, managing the division of work to agile teams, defining requirements, and prioritizing the overall work within the portfolio.

They will partner with site analytics to measure the product performance and deliver maximum value, with UI / UX to drive customer engagement and conversion and with marketing to drive brand loyalty.

This is a key leadership position within a fast paced, agile environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own, develop, and execute the product vision and strategy by defining features which drive customer engagement, enhance the customer experience, and meet business objectives
  • Lead the development of new features from concept to launch through the software development lifecycle
  • Create and maintain a product roadmap in partnership with key stakeholders and prioritize all features within the agile teams
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and JIRA stories. Act as a point of escalation for the team when question arise regarding features
  • Collaborate with engineering to ensure maximum scalability / reusability in new development
  • Deliver regular feature updates to stakeholders. Lead stakeholder demonstrations prior to feature launch
  • Participate in vendor evaluation and selection of tools to achieve strategic goals
  • Provide regular, actionable feedback to the team regarding the work product
  • Establish, track and monitor key performance indicators to optimize performance of a feature and its impact to the checkout funnel
  • Stay informed of relevant emerging technologies and eCommerce trends to influence product direction and strategy

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a product / business analysis role with a minimum of 3 years of Product Management or other leadership role
  • Working knowledge of direct to consumer and large scale eCommerce environment is required. Functional knowledge of consumer analytics, marketing and omnichannel strategy
  • Ability to devise and articulate product strategy to all levels of the organization
  • Strong communication, collaboration and influence skills
  • Proven record of success launching products which satisfy business need with quality
  • Practical agile experience
