Remote Position With Up To 75% Travel Required
Manages the full fleet of primary and secondary WMHS equipment within the assigned area, in alignment with corporate objectives.
Essential duties and responsibilities include :
- Continually focusing on achieving market base profitability through effective management of all fleet, maintenance and repair activities within the assigned area, including cost control, employee development, and high training and safety standards.
- Reviewing capital equipment requisitions in line with corporate guidelines and objectives.
- Ensuring safe and reliable vehicles are available to meet operational requirements.
- Managing effective utilization and right-sizing of vehicle assets.
- Ensuring all fleet are compliant with all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
- Conducting fleet evaluations to ensure maintenance standards are met.
- Ensuring third-party maintenance and repair suppliers perform quality, on-time, and on-budget maintenance and repairs on fleet assets.
- Ensuring vehicle management systems are effectively utilized.
- Complying with and ensuring adherence to WM's Mission to Zero standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient operations.
- Meeting all financial review dates and corporate directed programs in a timely fashion.
- Assisting in budget process as required.
- Overseeing personnel needs of the department including selecting, coaching, disciplining, and training employees and evaluating employee performance.
- Providing input into termination, compensation, and promotion decisions.
- Conducting and / or attending and contributing to periodic driver / safety meetings to maintain favorable working relationships among all employees and promote maximum morale, productivity, and efficiency.
- Providing training and presentations as needed in a positive and professional manner.
- Updating and submitting required reports in a timely manner.

The expected base pay range for this position across the U.S. is $107,300 - $160,310. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive pay.
