Surgical Technician

Shift : 7 : 00am-5 : 00pm / 4-10's

Status : Full Time / 40hr week

Location : Akron Campus Operating Room

Summary :

Under supervision, provides support to surgical procedures by setting up operating rooms with necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies.

Functions as scrub person throughout procedure.

Formal Education Required

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.
• BCLS Certification
• Knowledge of surgical principles and skills
• Current National Certified Surgical Technologist certification OR certification as Certified Surgical Technologist preferred

Experience and Training Required

Recent (or previous) operating room experience preferred

• Ability to stand / or for extended periods of time, frequent pushing, pulling, and lifting of patients, cleaning equipment, and materials
• Ability to coordinate communication information for personnel, physicians, and patients
• Assumes accountability for demonstrating behaviors consistent with the customer service policy

$23.51 / hr - $28.21 / hr

The salary range on this job posting / advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay.
