1+ years of Critical Care and PACU experience

Ventilator management experience

Management of medication drips and arterial line management

Experience with lumbar drains and EVD drains

Dysrhythmia identification

Description :

The position involves working in a perianesthesia unit.

The unit has a total of 18 beds.

Patient ratios are based on guidelines and patient acuity.

The initial recovery period is 1 : 1.

Nighttime holds are based on patient acuity.

Equipment includes ventilators, monitors, Alaris pumps, and 12 lead EKG machines.

The electronic medical record system is Cerner.

The patient population includes general surgery, colorectal, endoscopic, ENT, gynecologic, neurology, thoracic, vascular, and transplant patients.

Candidates should be hard workers, quick learners, and independent critical thinkers.

Reliability and the ability to work well in a team are essential.

Flexibility and accountability are also important traits for this role.

Candidates will be advocates for patient care.

Surgical scrubs will be provided as part of the dress code.
