Salary : $75,000 - $90,000 per year

Privately held, long-established manufacturing organization seeking a Senior Accountant to support growth and serve as a future successor to the Controller. This newly created role will strengthen the accounting function, streamline daily operations, and contribute to long-term strategic initiatives.

Job Details

What you will do :

  • Support month-end and year-end close processes in accordance with GAAP
  • Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure accuracy across AP / AR, payroll, and general ledger functions
  • Perform inventory and variance analysis, including cost accounting and evaluation
  • Prepare reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reports to support management decision-making
  • Participate in audits, ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements
  • Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to identify trends and cost drivers
  • Collaborate closely with leadership to improve reporting processes and internal controls
  • Mentor junior accounting staff and provide day-to-day oversight of transactional functions
  • Support transition planning for the Controller role over the next several years

    • What we are looking for :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of accounting experience within manufacturing or a CPA firm auditing manufacturing clients
  • Proven knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
  • ERP experience required; familiarity with M1 ERP preferred
  • Strong Excel skills; ability to analyze cost data and identify variances
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Desire for career growth and long-term leadership development
