Safety Clerk Location Gainesville, TX | Onsite COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE

• $20.00 / hour
• Monday – Friday, 8 : 00am – 5 : 00pm
• W2, Full-time, Temp-to-Hire ROLE IMPACT The Safety Clerk ensures all transportation compliance and safety documentation is accurately maintained and readily accessible for audits and internal reviews. This role is critical in maintaining driver and equipment compliance, supporting operational readiness, and promoting a culture of safety across the organization. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintain and update driver compliance records (CDLs, medical certifications, clearinghouse updates)
• Manage monthly equipment inspections and bi-annual DOT checks for owner-operator units
• Input, flag, or terminate driver data in AS400 and other internal systems
• Maintain and update driver permit books and accident kits
• Answer and route incoming calls and manage front-desk visitor processes
• Support administrative needs related to vehicle licensing, registration, and document tracking MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• 1+ year experience in safety, compliance, or transportation support (preferred)
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage confidential documentation CORE TOOLS & SYSTEMS

• Experience in DOT compliance documentation
• Familiarity with vehicle licensing processes
