Electronic Commerce Analyst

General Characteristics Responsible for the analysis, development, maintenance and support of e-commerce software programs to ensure the needs of the business community are appropriately addressed.

Works closely with vendors and trading partners.

Duties include the creation and trading of partner profiles, mapping of transactions, establishment of communication links with trading partners and the testing of secure transaction maps and communication links to ensure security, proper identification and capture of required data.

Identifies and documents programming requirements for all new transactions.

Assists in the development and documentation of policies and procedures for the e-Commerce function.

Education :

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field.
• Or equivalent work experience.

Experience :

• A minimum of 3 years of IT work experience in software development, installation and maintenance, Web/Internet, database applications and/or data warehousing.

Complexity :

• Intermediate professional level role.
• Provides programs development, maintenance and support on multiple platforms for the e-commerce function.
• Works on multiple projects as a team member and may lead projects of moderate complexity.
