Perm Nurse Practitioner (Neonatology) – Phoenix, AZ

Join a growing neonatology team in the greater Phoenix area with flexible coverage schedules (12s/24s) and a competitive pay package (details discussed during the hiring process). This role starts 04/28/2026 and supports care across Level III–IV NICUs (and additional special care nurseries as the program expands)—ideal for NNPs who want a collaborative, team-based environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Work collaboratively with neonatologists to provide NICU coverage and infant care
  • Provide evening shift coverage alongside a neonatologist in Level III–IV NICUs
  • Support care responsibilities across the neonatal service lines in the Phoenix area
  • Participate in shared responsibility for attendance at deliveries (with neonatologists)
  • Cover Level II units supported by in-house NNPs, daily neonatologist rounds, and in-person emergency availability
  • Maintain patient-focused, team-based care within a growing neonatology program

What You Need

Required

  • Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) Board Certified
    • Cannot accept FNP, PNP, or other NP certifications

Preferred

  • 2+ years of NNP experience
  • Experience working within NICU/neonatology environments and collaborating with neonatology teams

Key skills

  • Strong clinical judgment in neonatal critical care settings
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based model with neonatologists
  • Comfort with a rotating schedule that includes 12- and 24-hour shifts

About the Assignment

This permanent full-time NNP opportunity supports a neonatology program in the greater Phoenix metropolitan area, providing coverage at three Level III–IV NICUs affiliated with high-risk delivery services, with additional Level 2 special care nurseries expanding over time. NNPs work in close collaboration with neonatologists across delivery service coverage and NICU patient care, with coverage structure designed for team support and shared delivery responsibilities.
